What is a Full Face Lift Operation?

A full facelift operation; is a surgery performed to have a younger appearance of the lower eyelids, forehead, middle and lower face, lips, and neck area.

To have the highest level of positive results to be obtained from full facelift surgery, fat transfer from different parts of the person aims to shape the areas needed in the face. After the surgery, TCA Peeling and CO2 Laser-like applications can be performed to heal the skin more quickly and to obtain a vivid appearance.

A full facelift, performed under local anesthesia; is applied to improve the skin, which has a lifeless, wrinkled, or sagging appearance. Sagging and wrinkles in the face area, which lose their moisture balance and vitality over time, cause an old facial appearance. Full facelift surgery; may be preferred at the point where methods such as serum, care creams or regional massage to eliminate such complaints do not work. Although the duration of the full facelift surgery varies according to the patient's condition and the procedures to be performed, it is completed between approximately 4 and 6 hours. The time it takes to fully feel the result after surgery is an average of one month.

How is Full Face-lift Treatment Performed?

Before the full facelift operation, which is a comprehensive aesthetic treatment form, fat is removed from certain parts of the body and the fat taken is purified. The purified oil is injected into the mid-face area, the nose lines around the eyes, and, if necessary, the lips.

If deemed necessary, procedures such as eyebrow lifts or forehead lifts can be combined with facelift surgery. During the full facelift surgery, a minimal incision is made from the scalp in front of the ear or behind the ear and a working area is obtained for stretching the face and neck areas. The mimic muscle area under the skin is stretched through the sutures and as a result, the lower layer of the face area is reshaped. In patients with complaints of fat in the neck area, liposuction (fat removal) is performed first. A jaw tip prosthesis can be performed for patients with the back jawbone. This application allows a more prominent-looking jaw to be obtained.

Who is a Good Candidate For Full Face Lift?

Irregular diet, smoking, and alcohol use; cause the negative effects of age to be felt more. As a result, many problems such as wrinkles in the forehead area, deep lines with an uncomfortable appearance, stains in the face area and under-eye bags, and cheeks with a saggy appearance begin to make themselves felt over time. Stains and wrinkled appearance on the skin surface can miss the pleasure of many individuals. With the full-face rejuvenation operation, these complaints disappear.

The full facelift operation is suitable for individuals aged 50 years and older. However, some details should be considered before the operation. Before deciding on the application of a facelift, where several methods can be preferred, the general health status of the patient, gender, age, the level of old age observed in the face area, bone structure, and whether there are harmful consumption habits such as smoking or alcohol are taken into consideration. If the individual is suitable for the operation as a result of the physical examination, treatment planning is made by the needs of the patient.

What is the Recovery Process of Full Face Lift Surgery?

After the operation, the patient is dressed in a face corset. The corset, which is specially prepared for the person, leaves the center of the face exposed and prevents severe bleeding under the skin. The corset, which should be used for the first 24 hours after surgery, is removed the next day.

Food or drink should not be consumed for the first 4 hours after surgery. After this process, the patient can start feeding by consuming light foods. In the postoperative period, care should be taken as much as possible not to smoke for the first week. The consumption of products that will adversely affect the healing process should be avoided.

In full facelift surgery, the recovery time varies according to the nature of the procedures performed, but it can take an average of three to four weeks. The time needed to eliminate complications such as edema, redness, and bruising that may occur after the application is about two weeks.
