People desire to have a proportional nose according to the aesthetic perception of today. However, many people weren’t born with their dream nose or their nose shapes were later deformed due to a strike. As this can be a problem in the term of aesthetic appearance, the disorders in the internal structure of the nose can also cause serious difficulties in breathing. Septorhinoplasty or functional nose surgery is a nasal surgery that allows the patients to breathe more easily by eliminating the deviation of the nose.

The operation time varies depending on the condition of each patient but it takes approximately 2 or 3 hours. Patients are discharged after staying one night at the hospital. There will be some swelling and bruises around the nose area after the surgery, which will decrease and begin to disappear within a week. Using a higher pillow during sleep will help to reduce them more easily.
Recovery after the revision septorhinoplasty is similar to the first surgery. Patients can get back to their jobs after one week or 10 days. It is of great importance during the recovery to examine patients regularly and evaluate the changes in the nose.
